Whales versus sharks in California's prehistory? Not quite. Come to the Museum of Paleontology to learn what the Bay Area was like 15 million years ago through the active preparation of fossils from the Calaveras Dam site. We've uncovered nearly 40 whale skulls and 4,000 shark teeth--including some from Megalodon, the biggest shark ever--alongside clam beds, palm trees, and pine cones!
