Getting Around
See the campus map on the back cover for routes and stops.
Cable Cars
Make a 30-minute loop around campus on a motorized cable car, running 8 am–4pm. Hop on or off at any stop.
Campus Perimeter Buses
Catch a ride around the campus, with routes past the residence halls and Clark Kerr Campus. Buses run 8am–6pm.
Hill Shuttle
Zip into the hills above campus—to see the Lawrence Hall of Science, UC Botanical Garden, Samuel L. Silver Space Sciences Laboratory, and Strawberry Canyon Recreation Area. The shuttle leaves every 15 minutes, 8:30 am–6pm, from the east entrance to Evans Hall. Buses and shuttles are wheelchair-accessible; cable cars are not.
School groups
School groups are especially welcome for the day. To reserve free school bus parking, call 510/642-5215 by April 13.
Getting here and parking
Parking is free in designated areas but very limited. Public transportation is the best way to get to Cal Day. AC Transit and BART go to or near campus, and free shuttles and cable cars provide closer access to campus venues, including the Lawrence Hall of Science, Space Sciences Lab, and UC Botanical Garden. See campus map.
Food
Campus cafés and local restaurants offer a variety of menu choices, and there are many picnic sites on campus. See a list of local eateries.
