Cellscope: Taking Imaging to New Places
1:00-1:30 pm Add
106 Stanley Hall
The Center for Emerging and Neglected Diseases (CEND) and Berkeley Bioengineering presents Daniel Fletcher, Berkeley bioengineering professor and faculty scientist at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, in a seminar about CellScope, a Berkeley-developed technology that converts a standard cell phone into a fully functional microscope. By combining mobile microscopy with automation and wireless communication, we create new ways to tackle applications from infectious disease diagnosis to classroom education.
