Arab Women in the Era of Free Speech

Three UC Berkeley students who are women of color will share their experiences and discuss the events and protests of Berkeley's Free Speech Week. Topics will include Islamophobia, the media's role after the protests, and how the demonstrations affected student life on campus. This event is part of "Poets, Pioneers and Peacemakers: Women's Voices Spanning the Near East to the Steps of Sproul Hall," a four-part series of talks from 10 a.m.-noon in 126 Barrows Hall. All are welcome.
