Sudden Oak Death: SOD Blitz Survey 2017
1:30-3:30 pm Add
132 Mulford Hall
Sudden Oak Death (SOD) is an invasive disease threatening California's native forests that has killed millions of oak trees. The SOD Blitz survey is an ongoing yearly project that enlists the help of citizen scientists like yourself to survey for the presence of this plant disease in local communities. At this informational session, we'll present a short instructional movie and provide you with collection materials for use in sampling the trees in your neighborhood park. Help us track and protect against the spread of Sudden Oak Death!
