Whether from a bee sting or a broken bone, some form of acute pain has been experienced by everyone. But chronic pain is a persistent, debilitating condition that affects millions of people worldwide. This talk describes experiments aimed at identifying the molecular basis of touch and pain so that better drugs and therapies can be developed.
