One day you could power your laptop just by typing, thanks to a benign virus called M13, which only infects bacteria. M13 uses the piezoelectric effect -- where certain materials emit a small amount of power when squeezed. Learn how a coating of this virus could someday allow each tap of your fingers on the keyboard to generate electricity in this faculty lecture.
